WEST COAST IS THE BEST COAST- ROAD TRIPPING

We wanted to share with you some photos from our DREAMY road trip down the Caifornian coast....We drove from San Fran to Los Angeles (with stops in SF, our best friend's ranch near Salinas, Carmel and Santa Barbara).

It's honestly one of the most beautiful places we've ever been and it was such a special trip for us....AND YOU KNOW WE LOVE A ROAD TRIP <3 <3 <3

We spent New Years Eve in LA with some of our best friends in the world <3

Then recovered on New Years Day at Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood- an absolute DREAM of a hotel!

We headed off to San Francisco on the 2nd. It is a gorgeous city and we loved exploring it! It was a beautiful (/FREEZING) day and we obviously had to cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.  Full House anyone?

We were also the ultimate tourists and visited the sea lions at Pier 39. They are definitely our spirit animals. They basically just sleep all day in the sun.

On our last morning in San Francisco, our friend Simi took us for a delicious brunch at Bar Tartine...Not your typical brunch food but we've been craving it non stop ever since! The smoked potatoes with black garlic and both the kale with sunflower tahini and yogurt, and the beef tartare Smørrebrøds were unreal!

After leaving Simi and SF, and saying goodbye to Sophie, James and I travelled about 200 miles South to visit one of our best friend's Emily at her ranch not far from Salinas.  Emily and her husband Peter count 2 dogs, 3 cats, 6 chicken, a few ducks, 1 horse and 1 donkey as part of their family and live in acres of rolling hills and farmland.  Emily has added some very British touches to her ranch home and it was lovely to wake up to a cup of tea and BBC Radio 4 <3

Emily also took us to the Carmel dog beach which was basically A DREAM. Eddy is an absolute SURF BABE.

Big Sur was everything that I'd dreamed of and more...

AND we ended a perfect road trip by getting engaged to my best friend and future husband in Santa Barbara ♥♥♥
